Updated Winter 2024, in no particular order.

Part of the now page movement

Partner & Parent

I was raised by caring parents and I want to transmit that to my children. Someone coined raising children as the "Longest Shortest Time.". I'm trying to appreciate every moment without putting too much pressure on myself.

Kinesiology

I've been working with a trainer for the last few years. Someone that I regard as an inspiration and that introduced me to Kinesiology.

From time to time, I help my good friend train climbing and running athletes, learning hands-on while studying kinesiology (those thick books).

Kinesiology is all about understanding how our muscles, joints, and body mechanics work together when we move - whether that's during everyday activities or specific exercises like bouldering.

Buddhism

Mid-2024, my partner introduced me to Buddhism and a couple of classes from Ethan Nichtern, a Buddhist teacher and author, I recommend his work. This helped me reevaluate my relationship with design work and my identity.

Boudlering & Running

I've set a couple of objectives for myself this year. They're meant to be achievable without relying on any events or races.

I've found my sweet spot with 25km trail runs, which provide just the right challenge without consuming too much of my day. I love heading out early in the morning to the mountain that's just 5 minutes from my home - it feels like my personal garden. Next summer, I'm aiming to run 25km with 700m D+, with an average 150BPM.

In bouldering, I'm aiming to climb v6/v7 routes despite managing a weak left shoulder that frequently dislocates due to an old injury and "hyper"-mobile joints.

Films & Medias

I've grown tired of TV shows that demand too much time commitment. During downtime, I prefer watching movies, especially ones from previous years.

I've shorten my podcasts list from 10+ shows to This American Life, The Floodcast (FR), and Le Goût de M (Highly recommended).
